The Habersham County E-911 Center received an automatic crash notification just before 12:15 Sunday afternoon, April 14, for a possible vehicle crash near 2550 Crane Mill Road, Alto.

An Alto woman died in a one-vehicle wreck on Sunday, April 14.
The Habersham County E-911 Center received an automatic crash notification just before 12:15 Sunday afternoon, April 14, for a possible vehicle crash near 2550 Crane Mill Road, Alto.
Units from Habersham County Emergency Services and the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office responded to find a single-vehicle wreck with one deceased occupant entrapped.
Habersham County Emergency Services Engine 12, Med 12, Battalion 1, and Captain 1 responded, along with units from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office.
Georgia State Patrol Post 7 Toccoa is investigating.
The Habersham County Coroner’s Office also responded.
Coroner Kasey McEntire identified the victim as 22-year-old Chloe Smith Williams of Alto.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this difficult time,” McEntire said.
Crane Mill Road was closed between Mud Creek Road and Coon Creek Road beginning at 12:57 p.m. The road fully reopened by just after 2:15 p.m.
